As more TVs in the living room get connected, there is an increased availability of video content delivered as TV apps on these devices. Opera has established our products as the market leader in the connected-TV industry, with our HTML 5 SDK and TV app platform embedded on tens of millions of new connected TV devices each year, from leading manufacturers and operators. In addition, our breakthrough tools, such as Opera TV Snap, have lowered the barrier to entry for content owners, who can now launch TV apps to millions of viewers, in less than a minute, at no cost.

On the back of a portfolio of existing and upcoming consumer-facing products from Opera on any screen, the Content Acquisition Manager for Branded Content will sign partnerships with the world's top publishers and brands that are increasingly investing in producing original content as part of their digital marketing strategy, as well as seeking mass distribution of this content. The Content Manager for Branded Content is part of the global Content Acquisition team and works directly with digital marketing and content distribution executives in Europe to help bring them a wider audience through Opera's consumer products.

Responsibilities
• Negotiate and close agreements with Consumer Brands and Publishers (e.g.,. News, Sports, Retail, Entertainment, Fashion), to source directly the relevant catalogs of premium video content for mass/targeted distribution to an Opera audience.
• Coordinate technical relationships between the partner and Opera's Engineering team to secure the integration of their video catalogs with Opera TV Snap to secure launch of their video catalogs to end users.
• Work with these content partners to develop and package innovative Smart TV *Channels that drive revenue and provide strong value for users, advertisers, and Opera TV products.
• Participate in trade shows, partner seminars and networking forums in Europe, with the possibility of sometimes presenting to large audiences.
• Coordinate with Opera's Product Management, Content Acquisition, Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams to fulfill BU goals.

Requirements
• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience, with availability to travel extensively within the region
• Experience in building creative digital media or digital marketing in the new internet economy, with a focus on increasing brand awareness and high user engagement
• Excellent track record in sales and business development, with experience in negotiating deals for a global organization
• Cross-functional experience at consumer internet companies, working across a variety of teams including product, engineering, communications, business development, media, finance, and sales
• Enthusiasm, communication skills and business acumen
• Strong ability to communicate externally and internally at all levels of the organization, including customer engineering teams
• Understanding of web technologies, cross platform application development and app storefronts a plus

The home-office arrangement can be considered for right candidate living in a key TV-market.
