We are responsible for designing, manufacturing, transporting, installing and commissioning equipment in ports, with emphasis on providing the best possible solutions and service to our customers. Contract Manager (ref 11/12) The Contract Management department is currently seeking a Contract Manager. The department leads and takes responsibility for the implementation of the company's customer contract undertakings, which mainly involve design, manufacturing, delivery and installation. Each Contract Manager runs an internal project organization for each contract. The lead times for the entire contract implementation normally vary between 6 months to 2 years, depending on the scope of the contract, so patience and stamina under pressure are required. Customer contracts include both a large degree of technological content and extensive, challenging commercial content, why a Contract Manager needs to have both technical and commercial competence. Business law competence is an advantage as the work tasks also contains both preparation and interpretation of contracts. Important is also to communicate accurately and clearly in both spoken and written English. Customers and suppliers are located in Asia, Europe and the US, but are increasingly located in Asia while most design work is controlled from Gothenburg. As a result, our work features both extensive travel and significant cultural differences. Qualifications - University education, in a technical subject. - Several years of experience in international and industrial business operations. - Excellent spoken and written English language skills. - A driven and results- and quality oriented approach. - A structured approach and experience of working both within projects and independently, even under pressure. - Good management qualities, as well as previous advanced project management experience. - A professional approach and a good understanding of the bigger picture, in both individual contracts and your own work as a whole. Education/experience from the field of marine or civil engineering is an advantage.
