Fraud and economic crime is on the rise, with 49% of organisations reporting being victims in the past 24 months, in the Global Economic crime report from 2018. You can now be a part of a team working together to both prevent as well as investigate irregularities and economic crime. Forensic services is a team of forensic investigators and forensic technology consultants who help clients to investigate economic crimes such as for example fraud, corruption and money laundering.
A career in Forensic Services, within Risk Advisory, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients to minimise and manage reputational, regulatory and financial risk. The role of an forensic investigator is to investigate what has happened, when and by whom. But it can also be to help the clients to detect, monitor, and predict risk. With forensic technology we preserve data and identify evidence from, for example computers, mobile phones and other digital devices. You will be part of a team that helps organisations investigate economic crime and help them to prevent and detect economic crime.
Responsibilities
As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team together with colleagues who have extensive consulting and industry experience. You will be involved in all types of investigations, helping our clients to solve their complex business issues and incidents.
Specific work duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Take an active role in projects, with full assistance from your colleagues
• Proactively assist the team in various aspects of a undergoing project
• Analyse data sets to provide the client with valuable information and recommendations
• Prepare deliverables which will be presented to the client
• Assist in compliance work to prevent fraud and economic crime
• Contribute to the development of your own and the team's technical acumen
Preferred skills
We are looking for a associate analyst either with up to one year of work experience or newly graduated within business administration, accounting or information technology/computer science. We believe it is important that you want to and can establish trustworthy contacts. You are easy to collaborate with, enthusiastic and positive. We would also prefer you to have an eye for details and possess the will to find the reason behind a problem.
