Aircraft Arresting Systems are installed on runways as emergency systems to safely catch and stop fighter aircraft in trouble during take-off or landing.
Our vision is to save lives and protect aircraft, and our goal is to be market leaders. We are now hiring new colleagues to support the next step in the development of SCAMA.
As construction engineer you will have the responsibility for the production planning and the execution of the construction part of SCAMA's projects. Additionally, the role will entail the development of the production process, identify and evaluate suppliers, prepare civil works drawings, as well as to specify and coordinate the project execution.
We are looking for an individual who has experience of project planning within the field of civil construction and has advanced knowledge of construction engineering. In addition, experience in theoretical and practical application of concrete is a desired skill for the position. We are looking for someone who finds an interesting challenge to span over development, execute testing, develop documentation, producing technical instructions and drawings and communicate with authorities and end users in approval processes. Continuous support is also foreseen during project execution mainly in co-operation with a local partner. As the work is mainly done in projects you should be independent, self-driven and have the ability to both take individual responsibility and work in a group. We are looking for an individual who has the interest and ability to seek and apply new knowledge and conduct work outside your specific field of expertise. Additionally, due to the smaller size of the company we are looking for an individual who has the ability to work with a wide variety of tasks and are able to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Almost all SCAMA projects are export contracts. We are represented in close to forty countries and we work with customers and partners in multiple cultures worldwide. You should therefore be able to communicate fluently both in spoken and written English.
SCAMA offers a dynamic work place with alternating tasks, assignments and responsibilities, where you can develop both generally and in your role as a Construction Engineer, both theoretically and practically. International travel will be part of the position as construction engineer.
