Scania Connected Systems Connectivity platform is a world leading IoT solution hooked up to over 450000 vehicles and other products. As part of R&D, Scania EC - Connected Systems - enables, operates and evolves the connectivity platform all the way from the products' Telecommunication unit to our large scale services in the cloud.
What you will do
We want you to be part of our Architects team working together with more than 50 development teams strengthening our platform architecture and enhancing the services built upon it. More and more of these services become mission critical for our customers and for Scania's ability to deliver value so the availability and security of the platform is crucial. New technologies like Autonomous drive will also bring new security requirements.
Your main tasks will be to work with layout, design and visualization of the connectivity- & IoT platform and it's systems and their interfaces. Typically taking part in technology choices, planning activities and do deeper analysis of the enablers in the platform making new services possible. You will participate in creating patterns and best practices for the development teams to ensure the decoupling, cohesion and flexibility for the whole connectivity platform. Ensuring that it has the right Security, robustness, performance and scalability to support Scania's digitalization.
Who you are
We are looking for a highly experienced Solution Architect with a security perspective, with good communications and social skills. You like to see the bigger picture and you enjoy sharing your view with others. Agile development, the SAFe framework, continuous deployment and large scale integrations are to you well known techniques. Experience from cloud security and cloud architecture in general is meriting and if you have specific knowledge from working in AWS it is valuable.
You most likely have a formal degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or the equivalent experience. In addition you are expected to have at least 5 years' experience from working with technical architecture. Knowledge of the areas of Security in the cloud/ IoT/ connectivity and/or the electrical system of (heavy) vehicles is a great advantage for this role.
