Autonomous and electric vehicles cause a paradigm shift in our industry. The share of the customer value that are created by software is increasing rapidly and thereby software in both vehicles and cloud-based services are key for future success.
A new department called Software Development System is started to ensure the best Software Developer Experience in our business. Our mission is to enable development teams in our company to efficiently identify customer needs, explore solutions and to develop and deploy new features to the rolling customer fleet. We aim to create an excellent SW development experience with fast learning loops based on data driven development by implementing one common highly automated development pipe, process and toolchain to make it easy and fun to deliver customer value through software.
The new group 'Concept development and Investigations' will be responsible for refining the definition and strategy of the new department. Therefor we searching for senior experts to identify and lead the necessary investigations that ultimately enable the best SW developer experience in our business.
This specific role is covering the area of data driven development. The goal is to enhance our capability of using data from the running fleet as input to our daily development work. By utilizing e.g. sandbox capabilities and smart data analyzing methods/tools we connect to our customers even faster.
Your tasks
• Drive and orchestrate the development of the connected development loop ensuring that all the capabilities that Scania develops within the concept become a functioning whole
• Set the strategy to integrate sand box possibilities and data collection into the development tool palette
• Close cross functionality collaboration from an end-to-end perspective to make it happen
• Create a detailed vision for the fields mentioned above
• Inventory tools and processes to visualize the gap and identify necessary work packages
Your profile
We are looking for a senior expert that has
• a solid background in SW development and good feeling of the future need
• a genuine interest in how techniques, processes and methods are integrated to create an optimized workflows from a developer experience perspective
• the capability to manage a large network with many interfaces and your strength is to identify your contribution to the big picture
• a graduate degree in engineering or equivalent
• a good communication skill in English and Swedish both in written and spoken form
