Volvo Cars Connected Car is a Digital Development department that drives the development of Volvo Cars' Connected Car solutions. We are responsible for the cloud platform and services that provides connected telematics, infotainment and other connected services for our customers and our Volvo cars. Connected Car is also responsible for daily operation of all digital products provided to the Car and its users. Among those the well-known Volvo On Call, Sensus and Active Safety features.
What we offer
Connected Car will grow its Digital Development capabilities to support new cloud functions needed for Autonomous Drive, Electrical Propulsion and many Customer facing digital products. Additionally, the continuous growth of the number of connected cars and the increased Security and Privacy focus brings a new demand to the cloud platform. Our development and operation is performed in close collaboration with both our internal design departments and external suppliers in a dynamic and international environment.
We now seek Senior Managers to strengthen our growing leadership team.
What you 'll do
You will lead a group of strong individuals in our Development department. We are a set of teams working within the SAFe framework and you will have the responsibility to secure we have an organization and team that is fit for its purpose. You will also secure long-term strategic competences, initiatives and continuous development of individuals in your area.
Our area within Connected Car is growing rapidly and you will also be there to support our continuous growth over time. In order to fulfil our targets we also need to develop our operational model to align with Connected Car overall targets and vision - you will be driving both tactical and strategic needs within your area
This role requires a high level of discipline, to work cross-functionally and co-ordinate with stakeholders across various organizations

We also believe you are a strong team player with modern leadership abilities and thinking, designed to support our Agile journey and movement. In addition, we think you have very good understanding of development mind-set and methodologies within the Agile domain like Large Scrum organizations, SAFe, LeSS or similar.
It is important that you have experience of mentoring and the ability to coach your team while at the same time you are a strong individual contributor for our continuous development. Develop and champion policies, standards and principles are also part of the job. Your responsibilities will include:
* Line manager for a growing team within Connected Car at CED, Consumer & Enterprise Digital
* Drive alignment of ongoing organisational and business development both within the team and towards external interfaces.
* Collaborate with other managers and teams within Volvo and outside to enable the development of Connected Volvo Cars services
You & Your Skills
* Master 's degree within engineering, IT, Business Administration or similar
* Managerial experience
* Excellent ability to structure complex challenges
* Knowledge and experience of Digital Customer facing solutions
* Experience of working in a global context
* Cross functional and integrated work experience, with high ability to co-operate and work in a team environment
* Knowledge of mobile (car and telecom) solutions with Telecom and/or Automotive area
* Fluent in English
