The Configuration Manager is focused on ensuring accurate and timely availability of configuration information for operational use at Ongame.
Ongame strives to achieve its targets in "best in class" operation and cost efficient production environment. As a Configuration Manager at Ongame you are assigned an important and crucial role in achieving this. Configuration Manager shall within the remit take lead and secure Ongame on reaching this target.
The ITIL CM process is closely connected to other ITIL processes and as a Configuration Manager you will collaborate and cooperate with other roles responsible of an ITIL process.
In the role as Configuration Manager you will act as an interface to other service delivery partners ensuring effective integration with the configuration management process.
Your work as Configuration Manager is to support streamlining and simplification of the everyday work in Operations.
Key responsibilities
• Owner of the CMDB infrastructure and process for keeping it updated
• Responsible for the CI (Configuration Item) identification process.
• Analyze, design and implementation of a federated CMDB
Knowledge requirements
• At least 5 years' of experience from similar work
• Broad technical knowledge and understanding of components in large scale IT operations.
• Documented experience from working in large scale IT operations with an understanding of how the ITIL Configuration Management process shall support the operation.
• Knowledge and interest in programming
• Preferably experience from operations environment
• Knowledge in ITIL (minimum foundation level)
• Overview understanding of the different components in architecture
• Excellent skills in written as well as spoken English
Educational requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
