hela Sverige The department Electrical Systems Integration & Electrical Development Process is responsible for system integration and testing of the complete electrical system and for management of the complete electrical development process in MIL, HIL and SIL environment. We have very skilled people on our team and now we need you to join us!
What you will do
You will define and implement strategies, policies, procedures, techniques and tools for our development and release process. Making sure that we maintain quality and traceability during our product development. You will represent Volvo Cars by establishing and maintaining research network towards companies and academia (SW Centre, Chalmers, MAH) as well as maintaining relations with universities through supervision of doctorate and thesis works. You will proactively participate in seminars, conferences and conventions and upon request also support in contacts with authorities, e.g. in legal matters.
Who are You?
You are most likely working as a project leader, used to collaborating and communicating well at all levels. You are very familiar with software and hardware development, with the various maturity levels in software development and we wouldn't be surprised if you are very comfortable and knowledgeable in the highest areas of research. You are used to showing the way, drawing the bigger picture and leading high profile projects. One of your characteristics is that you are known for having a positive and engaging approach.
Required qualifications
· Standards as ISO 26262 put formal requirements and control traceability
· English, fluent oral and written
· Master degree or equivalent within relevant field; Software, Hardware, Electrical/Electronics
· 10 years of experience in CM and areas such as Software Development, Software requirements, Software Architecture/design, Software Implementation, Software Integration and Test
· Documented high level of communication skills and presentation techniques. Ability to drive, motivate and convince. Easy to communicate with people.
· Experience of SW tool chains, e.g. TCr, Elektra, MathWorks products, SVN, Jira, Autosar Tier2 tools.
· Experience of project management, including agile methods (e.g. Scrum, SAFe), configuration management, test management and QA.

As our Technical Expert Configuration Management (CM) with focus on SW and HW in a mechatronic context, one area will be to fully support Continuous Integration and Deployment over the Vehicles complete life cycle. Software is already a large part of our cars today and it continuous to grow - both from a volume and complexity perspective. To keep up with these challenges we need to continuously define more efficient ways of working with software development - both towards external software suppliers but especially for our growing in-house software development. There is a constant need to improve software development processes and related tool chains to make development faster and more automated. We have to meet the needs for reduced lead time while maintaining high quality products. Focus areas are Configuration, Documentation, Version control, Backwards Compatibility and Traceability on dependencies. Our focus is on Continuous Integration & Development.
