Who is your future team?
Product Concepts & New Ideas has a broad range of competencies within concept engineering, e.g. software, hardware, mechanics and system. Our concepts mainly target the area of video surveillance.
With an open and curious mindset, we take on learning about new emerging technologies and how they could benefit Axis' products in the future, 3-5 years ahead. Our mission is to capture and come up with new product ideas and realize them as prototypes and demonstrators. Seeing is believing!
What you'll do here as a Concept Software Developer?
You will draw and connect the dots!
As a team member you will have a vital part in the ideation phase of new concepts. Further on you will be developing prototype software with from firmware drivers and embedded algorithms to user interfaces and VR. We value broad knowledge and there are always opportunities to develop your skills in other engineering domains as well.
Who are you?
We are looking for an open-minded, easy-going person that sees opportunities instead of obstacles. You are curious and attentive to trends within the industry and adjacent areas as well. You also have an approach of experimenting and testing hands-on, in order to learn and understand. It's a bonus if you have practical skills like basic soldering and hardware configuration and feel comfortable with an oscilloscope and a multimeter.
We'd love to hear that you have:
* A MSc or BSc within relevant field.
* Experience as a software developer.
* Experience within several software fields, including but not exclusive to embedded software, game engines and web stacks.
In addition to above we think that you;
* Are comfortable in doing demos and presentations.
* Have skills in explaining new and sometimes complex things in an engaging way.
* Have skills in visualization.
* Knowledge about different game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine.
