Interior development is now looking for a new colleague, so if you are passionate about automotive interior concepts and want to reach your personal goals together with other people, then we welcome you to join us as Concept Leader for Front Seat system engineering team in Volvo Cars. The interior of the car is one of the most important areas to influence on customers wellbeing, satisfaction and a motivation to buy a Volvo again and now you have the opportunity to make an impact!
The position will develop your innovation and strategic skills, your business acumen and your ability to make complex requests pragmatic and economically viable.
At Front Seat system engineering we are responsible for delivering a great customer experience of comfort, Scandinavian luxury and safety. We lead the development of a complete integrated Front seat into the vehicle, balanced to project requirements. Our diverse group consists of around twenty persons with different competences and backgrounds and who, in spite of what we work with, are one team.
What you'll do
You will be the leading authority for Advance engineering, Method development and Annual work in order to define future front seat and related technologies. You will work closely with the core team consisting of system responsible to evaluate new technologies and products and plan for introducing these in projects. You will support the core team and attribute leaders to define requirements for these new technologies or features.
* Perform daily work within advance engineering, method development and annual work for front seat in close cooperation with the SA team and other competencies within and outside seats.
* Coordinate with various departments within VCC regarding future features and requirements.
* Track and report status internally and externally, secure deliveries on time.
You and your skills
You have a broader technical understanding, courage and a passion for success. The role demands you to be decisional, have a high degree of personal order and be self-driven. Self-sufficiency and inclusive attitude with to-do mind-set is an asset that will bring you success in this position.
* M.Sc./B.Sc university degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Mechatronics
* Extensive experience of Automotive industry
* Advantage; Knowledge of Volvo Product Development Process
* Advantage; Seats knowledge
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Driver's license (B)
On this position we expect someone with good communication and presentation skills. You should have great interest in design and follow trends in the market. Further, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and implement new concepts.
