The department Vehicle Control & Chassis consist of approximately 140 engineers passionate for cars and their future development. We have state-of-the art systems that contribute to the successful introduction of recent programs (XC90, S90 and V90). Our vision is to offer systems that make Volvos leading in Driving Dynamics and Driving Experience. Strategy & Concept section leads and coordinates departments program concept phase, research, advanced engineering, method & process development.
As Concept Leader you operate and manage project concept development and will report to Section manager Strategy & Concept.
Main responsibilities
* Manage, plan and lead the department work as a part of the concept management
* Departement representative within the program
* Lead the concept study within the department regarding target setting, function and system design
* Securing that interface deviations affecting other areas are transferred
* Reporting status and milestones to program management
Required qualifications
* Technical education on University level (Master of Science or similar)
* Practical and theoretical knowledge about Volvo Cars product development system (VPDS) is meritorious
* Experience from leading development assignments
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driver's license (B) valid in Sweden
* Experience in the area of vehicle dynamics or chassis development (wheel suspension, brakes, steering, wheels and tyres)
* Experience from project management is meritorious

* Good communication and cooperation skills
* Ability to establish and develop network
