We currently have the following job opening;
Concept Leader - Powertrain
Reporting directly to Vice President Powertrain, as a Concept Leader you are responsible for leading the creation of new Powertrain system solutions in early project phases. Based on the requests from vehicle customers you lead the creation of Powertrain system solutions. Creating solutions that meet technology, cost and timing requirements.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Leading and coordinating the work cross all Powertrain systems.
• Collecting and understanding the requirements that are given as input.
• Leading the development of concept solutions for Powertrain system areas.
• Developing PT planning.
• Leading the development of cost structures for all ten powertrain sub-systems.
• Reporting the results to platform and vehicle project management.
• Achieving project results that enables continuation of the projects to be industrialised.
• The projects are done in Gothenburg but also with close cooperation to the Chinese operations.
Requirements
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. engineering.
• 10 to 15 years’ experience of automotive development.
• Relevant experience of the Powertrain system areas.
• Knowledge about trends and applicability of new technologies.
• Experience of project management.
• Experience of supplier management.
• High ability to drive tasks, motivate and convince people.
• Persistency to pursue targets and take decisions - but is still able to respond to changing priorities.
• A creative and curious mind.
• Structured and well organized way to work and document results.
• High ability to work independent and create the methods and tools that are needed.
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture.
• Ability to travel.
