Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Vehicle Concept Development ERSC is a driving force in advanced engineering within concept development at the complete vehicle level. Our projects are characterized by new exciting technologies in the form of electrification, fuel cells, autonomy, and sustainability to mention a few. We are active in early pre-development projects, or other types of initiatives to ensure that Scania's vision of "Driving the shift" becomes reality.

Your work assignments
You are lucky, you couldn't get on board in a more exciting time than now! We are facing new competitors, deepening collaborations within the TRATON brands, agile working methods, and rapid technology shifts among other things.

We believe that you are a dedicated and creative person who is interested in future technologies. More specifically you will develop vehicles and other types of concepts mainly aiming to reduce the environmental impact of our products or business. You will work in agile teams where large parts of R&D/TRATON or external partners could be represented depending on the project. We are a natural partner in Research projects (Technical Road Maps) and Pilot Partner projects (small vehicle series tried out at customers).

We need to reinforce our team with competence within VCB systems for BEV/FCEV. Your primary focus will be to design/choose and install the most suitable electrical components needed for the concepts we are designing. That also includes the VCB cabling. You have to be able to visualize your work in Catia (3D).

In collaborative teams, you will take the ideas from the sketch phase to functional prototypes. Commonly, the results from our projects are running vehicles at customers.

Our advanced engineering team is characterized by enthusiasm, inclusion, and commitment. We need to understand the modular toolbox we have in Scania/TRATON, but we also dare to step aside to explore new opportunities.

You are entering a very exciting time when the industry is facing major technology shifts. If you want to be part of shaping Scania's future, this is the role for you!

Your profile
We are looking for you who are communicative, take the initiative, and who see opportunities. You have a positive attitude, you quickly make new contacts, and appreciate working in teams and on your own. You need to be flexible and be prepared for the fact that conditions can change quickly in an increasingly changing world.

We also value personal attributes such as curiosity, sympathy, and open mind.

The person we are looking for has a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in automotive development for BEV or other closed-related fields.
