Concept Developer and Implementer
for Dealer Stock Management
Scania Parts Logistics is responsible for the spare parts flow from supplier to customer. Distribution takes place to 1500 sales outlets worldwide. The physical flow is managed through the Scania Parts Centre in Opglabbeek, Belgium with seven regional warehouses in Europe and Asian Parts Centre in Singapore.
Dealer Stock Management is one of our groups within the department for Business IT & Dealer Stock Management, located in Södertälje. Dealer Stock Management is also a concept for stock control at our dealers and aims to ensure high availability of spare parts to customers. DSM is currently used by approximately 600 workshops in Europe, and implementation has started also outside of Europe.
Your work duties
The group is responsible for the DSM concept and associated processes and IT systems. Our responsibilities are:
• overall responsibility for stock control
• further development of the concept
• to pursue follow-up and improvements with regard to our distributors/Business Units
• training
• implementation in new markets and new workshops
We are currently focusing heavily on improving our processes and standards in order to be well equipped for future challenges. The major challenges ahead include spreading the concept outside Europe, actively working with our distributors/Business Units to develop and further improve the spare parts logistics at the dealers and workshops that use DSM, as well as ensuring that our IT systems are well adapted for the future.
As a result we are now looking for someone who is interested in working with us to achieve our objectives.
Your profile
Since you will have a lot of contacts both internally and externally throughout almost all of the world, you need to be positive and have very good interpersonal skills, as well as a good command of English both verbally and in writing.
