Comsys continues to grow and is now looking for a Field Service Engineer to join the service team. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for all qualified and complex service missions. Simpler tasks, like replacing fuses or components, are in most cases handled by the customers or partners. Qualified service tasks involves trouble shooting and commissioning tasks, as well as occasionally managing special projects and development tasks in close cooperation with clients and other relevant functions within Comsys.
Since Comsys is a company with global coverage travel is in many cases going to inconvenient locations. The Field Service Engineer will have up to 150 travel days per year, mostly in Europe and North America. Comsys? corporate language is English, hence strong language skills are essential in English, and other language skills languages (Swedish, German, and Spanish) are meriting.
The right candidate has an academic degree in engineering and has worked for a minimum of three years with similar service, such as field commissioning work, within electronics/mechatronics/electrical power systems. It is a strong merit with experience from variable speed drives or electrical power systems. Experience in sales gives merit, since a certain degree of the role is selling spare parts, services and service contracts.
As a person, the Field Service Engineer needs to be self-going and driven, and be able to handle complex and high-demanding tasks in a balanced way, sometimes under strong pressure. Business orientation and strong communication and social skills are also essential in order to be successful in the role and at Comsys.
The Field Service Engineer will operate from Comsys HQ in Lund, Sweden and will report directly to Jonas Persson, VP Product Management.
