Under the direction of the Computer Management Specialist, act as network Systems Administrator for the OpenNet. Day-to-day operations of the Windows 7 and 2003/2008 local area network provide equipment maintenance, help desk assistance and user application support. This includes supporting applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange, SQL, IIS, Office, Symantec Anti-Virus, and Department of State developed applications. Self-responsibility is required from both routine and critical network administration tasks. Provides equipment maintenance, help desk assistance and user application support.

All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Education: University degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. Prior Work Experience: Three to four years of professional IT work experience with at least 1 year of Microsoft SharePoint Administration experience. Post Entry Training: State Department IT training (online and classroom), Consular System training, DS/Information Assurance training, and on the job training. Language proficiency: Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing English. Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing Swedish. Job Knowledge: Must understand, follow and implement Post and Department IT Systems (hardware and software), regulations and processes. Understand and participate in post's IT funding process. Skills and Abilities: Maintain current IT Skills and certifications keeping up with Department and industry standards. Implement policies and processes ensuring the Confidentially, Integrity and Availability of post's unclassified (OpenNet) network.
