Your new role
As the Computational Design Adoption Lead in the Transport GBA, you will champion all adoption aspects of computational design, empowering and connecting communities of designers to advance Ramboll's digital capabilities. You will lead initiatives, foster cross functional collaboration and innovation, and collaborate with Ramboll Tech to drive professional development across the Transport GBA.
Computational Design is linked to our IDT Transport Strategy Bridge in multiple ways - it helps a) enhance a strong data foundation, b) is a framework that can reinforce greater standardisation across Transport and c) can help enable and accelerate our AI adoption across the organisation.
The role requires an enthusiastic and engaged lead, someone who understands how computational design is used across the business and who can independently drive adoption initiatives.
As part of the Digital Adoption team in IDT, the Computational Design Adoption Lead has authority over the Computational Design parts of the roadmap for adoption and activities in the GBA and works closely together with the Digital Adoption Lead, the head of Digital Design & Production Products (IDT) and other relevant stakeholders.
The Computation Design Adoption Lead reports to the Digital Adoption Lead in Transport IDT
Your main responsibilities
Strategic leadership:
Lead on all matters relating to adoption of computational design products, tools, platforms and processes in the Transport GBA, in collaboration with service line leads/spearheads who own our GBA standards.
Lead and contribute to specific computational design initiatives in IDT Transport portfolio.
Build and develop structures to empower computational design in the Transport GBA
On occasion will support the IDT Transport team with broader adoption efforts - as required.
Stakeholder engagement & communication:
Interface and coordinate with the Computational Design leads and representatives in other GBAs
Engage proactively with the wider computational design community and establish a network of connected colleagues to e.g. foster knowledge sharing etc.
Establish effective communication pertaining to Computational Design within Transport

Support capability development across Transport:
Work alongside HR/Digital Employee Journey team to identify, plan, and run global training and upskilling in Computational Design

Drive innovation:
In alignment with the IDT Exploration Lead, drive approved hackathons with Transport colleagues and clients
Support solution sharing and open contribution to computational design efforts
Share external insights around Computational Design with the Exploration team & the Digital Design & Production team

Great communication skills in English
Previous experience with computational design in the Civil Engineering industry

A confident communicator with proven stakeholder management skills.
Ability to build rapport with a wide and diverse range of community members
