The arena
The Computational Chemistry section within the Medicinal Chemistry department in the Cardio-vascular and Gastro-intestinal Innovative Medicines unit (CVGI iMed) at AstraZeneca in Mölndal, Sweden, is currently recruiting a number of Senior Scientists in computational chemistry for working in our drug discovery projects in all phases between target selection and candidate nomination.
The role
We are looking for Ph D: s in science with experience in cheminformatics, small molecule modeling, ligand- and structure based design. Industrial experience from a similar role and/or a background in, e.g., organic chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, computer programming, or pharmacy is advantageous
The role requires enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to interact in a multi-disciplinary team and to communicate effectively.
This is a challenging position in the interplay of different disciplines in a fast developing field.
Minimum experience
Ph.D in science with experience in cheminformatics, small molecule modeling, ligand- and structure-based design.
Preferred experience/requirements
Industrial experience from a similar role and/or a background in, e.g., organic chemistry, physical chemistry, biochemistry, computer programming, or pharmacy is advantageous
