Within Powertrain Installation the section Exhaust and Cooling System is located, which responsibility is to develop both the inner and outer cooling system of the car. Volvo Car Group is now taking a new tactical step to strengthen the implementation to use the high technology of a thermos to improve our cooling systems. As Component responsible - Thermos you are going to be technical responsible for the development of basic design, our suppliers, as well as requirements of the product and lead the introduction for this function into our new platform. In this role it is important to be able to optimise performance, costs, weight, quality and package space in the car. Your technical competence should be strong to be able to make your own decisions and reach technical conclusions.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and introduce all technical solutions within thermos
• Keep close contact with different suppliers, departments and the line organisation
• Monitor the market and its development
• Act as an expert within the area thermos
Required qualifications
• University degree (MS.c or BS.c) in heat transfer or fluid mechanics
• Engaged and driven for result
• Ability to solve problems
• Good knowledge in English (spoken and written)
• Experience from Catia V5 is meritorious
Personal qualities
• Strong analytic and technical skills
• A true self starter and a character of initiatives
• Business and performance driven
