Aurobay is looking for a Component Responsible to be working in the team responsible for the development of sensors located in the air intake and exhaust system. We are looking for a person who enjoys having a workday that consists of various tasks and has an interest and motivation to develop powertrains capable to meet future emission classes.

As Component Responsible, you will be responsible for engine components during the development and production phase. Our philosophy is that the person should be included in every step during the development, to gain knowledge of the responsibility area and the complete development process. The role includes close collaboration with multiple suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure deliveries according to project time plans.
In the early project phase, you will be evaluating the concept and securing the best option based on technology, risk, and cost. The work includes both technical aspects as well as communication with suppliers, creating time plans, reporting progress toward the project lead, and aligning so prototypes are available for pre-series builds. To ensure that the concept will work in the final product you will secure packing and integration to vehicle (mechanical and electrical). The concept needs to be verified through testing both virtual and physical, where your responsibility is to define the criteria together with help from the system responsible for approving the concept and follow up on the progress for verification.

In the later project phase when the direction is decided the focus shifts to preparing for production start.
Communication with the supplier will increase to secure manufacturing and to set up all documentation needed both for legal aspects as well as internal requirements to ensure that quality is at a high level. After production start, you will be the point of contact for updates on the articles connected to improvement or cost saving and if there would be any issues connected to technical solutions, or quality.

You will also:
• Review and support the development of suppliers for mechanical designs.
• Order and review CAE results and develop components based on input
• Support electrical and software teams with component-related data.
• Participate in package meetings for the resolution of mechanical conflicts
• Participate live during engine and EMC testing/simulaion
• Close cooperation with multiple internal and external key players such as manufacturing, SQM, Purchasing organization, and test and validation engineers.
• Keep systems updated with the latest time plans, models, prints, deviations, etc.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have an engineering Master's or Bachelor's Degree. Experience with development, control or calibration of electrical components and the automotive industry is preferred. We believe you are a team player, who can handle multiple projects simultaneously. At work, you enjoy problem-solving and are eager to work together with others to find new solutions. We need you to be analytical, focused, structured, and to successfully plan and finalize your assignments. You will need to feel comfortable communicating in English as Aurobay is an international company and you will also need to be able to communicate with different stakeholders and teams. Communicational skills are key. Furthermore, you should be flexible and enjoy working in different locations and environments.

• Engineering degree or relevant experience
• Team Center
• Fluent in English
• Automotive development experience within Electrical department or for SW/Calibration is beneficial
• B-Driver's license
