The Business Segments department is responsible for our core industry segments (Aerospace, Automotive, and Energy) and application management. The department is also responsible for the new area Component Management; e.g. to prioritize and plan, develop and spread machining know-how and tooling solutions for component manufacture. We are now looking for a Component Portfolio Manager to join this department.
Key performance areas
As the Component Portfolio Manager you will be responsible for developing Coromant's new way of working with management and consolidation of the component portfolio within Sandvik Coromant. You will lead this work together with our sales units, Product Management and R&D.
Your main responsibilities include:
• Component portfolio - management and consolidation of key industry component solutions
• Coordinating and prioritizing all project initiatives for new component solutions
• Member in the steering group for global governance of projects
• Leading the development of ways of working with component solutions globally
• Ensuring that relevant information is provided to the introduction department regarding component solutions
• Developing the process for component solution lifecycle management
The position involves traveling.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an academic background or professional experience from engineering and manufacturing. Professional experience of process development, change management and leadership is advantageous. The position involves a number of international contacts and travelling, and therefore excellent skills in English, both spoken and written, are required.
As a person you are entrepreneurial and a team player with the ability to encourage others through strong communication skills. Furthermore, you also possess strong initiative and creative problem solving skills.
