Component Owner transmission components
The Propulsion System unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. The transmission team is responsible for the development of new global transmissions from the early concept phase to industrialization. These transmissions will be the main technology for the Geely group. The development is carried out by several parties inside Geely group as well as by external contractors.
As component owner, you will be responsible to lead the development of transmission sub-systems in cooperation with our preferred suppliers, according to system requirements. You will carry on the design from concept decision, through releases, testing and industrialization of the solution. You will be part of one of the transmission system team and report to the Transmission Module Team Director.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Development of transmission sub-systems.
• Manage our preferred suppliers: Continuously follow up the development by the supplier: Issue/forward questions, problem reports and change orders and tasks between the supplier and internal stakeholders.
• Interface to aftermarket, global manufacturing, quality and purchasing.
• Support the release routines and release plan.
• Responsible for achieving the committed quality /delivery/ feature target for the deliveries in project phase as well as in maintenance phase.
• Act as a technical reference in your field.
Requirements
• B. Sc. or similar.
• Experience in mechanical design in the field of torque transfer, shifting systems or clutch systems.
• Experience of leading suppiers.
• Experience of working in PLM systems, preferable Teamcenter.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in developing transmissions for automotive use is a merit.
• Fluent in English.
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture.
• Ability to lead part development in a changing environment.
• Ability to develop & apply solutions to complex problems.
