About the role

The Component Owner for Camera & Radar Hardware is responsible for managing the lifecycle, integration, and performance of camera and radar sensors used in perception systems. This role ensures that hardware components meet technical requirements, are properly installed, and function reliably in advanced driver assistance and autonomous driving applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Management
Define and maintain hardware requirements for camera and radar sensors in SE tools.
Ensure compliance with system-level specifications and regulatory standards.

Supplier Coordination
Manage RTS (Requirements Tracking System) agreements with camera and radar suppliers.
Follow up on supplier deliverables and ensure adherence to agreed specifications.

Validation & Testing
Oversee validation follow-up (TRA - Test Requirement Analysis) for camera and radar hardware.
Track DV (Design Verification) and PV (Product Verification) testing progress and results.

Sensor Installation Support
Support CAB/Chassis teams in installation design for camera and radar sensors, including FMEA analysis.
Ensure installation solutions meet performance and geometrical requirements.

Hardware Sample Management
Coordinate delivery and tracking of camera and radar sensor samples for prototypes and test vehicles.

Installation & Mounting
Ensure correct installation of camera and radar sensors on test vehicles.
Contribute to standardized installation guidelines across programs.

Logistics & Inventory Control
Track shipments and maintain stock of camera and radar sensors for prototypes to avoid delays.

Truck Preparation for Data Collection
Prepare test trucks with correct camera and radar hardware and software for perception data collection.

SIPD Leadership
Act as SIPD (Supplier Industrialization Project Driver) Leader for camera and radar sourcing projects.
Collaborate with purchasing, EPIC owners, and functional teams.

Dependencies & Collaboration:
Work closely with Verification & TR teams, CAB/Chassis teams, Radar/Camera architects, Vehicle Build teams, Purchasing, and Perception SW teams.
Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and quality hardware delivery.

Who you are
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related field.
Experience in automotive supplier management.
Knowledge of installation requirements.
Familiarity with SE tools and validation processes.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
