Volvo CE Engine Systems has an ambitious product development program including Stage-V development projects and a planned transfer to Volvo engines in our medium duty segment. We plan future initiatives to secure environmental, performance and fuel efficiency requirements and we have high focus on field quality activities.
Engine Systems is located in Eskilstuna. Our product maintenance and development projects interact with all major technology and operations sites in the global Volvo CE organization. The engineering work is managed in close cooperation with stakeholders and involved functions.
To our Heavy Duty Engine Development department we are currently looking for a talented person to strengthen the capacity and competence within the engine exhaust aftertreatment area.
Job summary
As Component Owner for Engine Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems (EATS) within Volvo CE Engine Systems, you will be responsible for securing that the exhaust aftertreatment system meets Volvo CE quality, performance, cost and installation requirements.
The aftertreatment system is developed in close cooperation with other entities within the Volvo Group. Your role will focus on the integration of the EATS towards our different Volvo CE machines, e.g. Wheel Loaders, Excavators and Articulated Haulers.
You will be involved both in development projects and product maintenance activities where you will be responsible for developing mechanical designs as well as product, quality and verification specifications. You will be working in close cooperation with colleagues within the Engine Systems, Product Platforms, Volvo Group and external partners.
The global environment and the many interfaces in this role require good cooperation and communication skills, technical knowledge and the ability to structure the work efficiently.
Position description
• Design of EATS components and system lay-outs in CAD environment and PDM-systems
• Secure fulfilment of EATS installation requirements in Volvo CE machines
• Plan and specify testing in test cells and machines
• Work together with counterparts within the Volvo Group and external suppliers
• Interact with our production plants
• Collaboration with engine performance engineers

Qualifications
• M.Sc or B.Sc with documented experiences within relevant areas
• Experience within Mechanical Development
• Experience from working with Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems
• Experience of participating in global teams
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong in planning and structure work
• Fluent in English (spoken & written)
• Result oriented
• A personal interest in internal combustion engines is a merit
