The Engine Auxiliary Systems department within Volvo CE is responsible for developing components within cooling, exhaust, air intake, AdBlue and low pressure fuel systems for 4-16L engines to our off-road machinery. We currently need to recruit one component owner for cooling and air intake.
Component Owner
Your main tasks as a component owner will be to ensure fulfillment of component Quality, Feature, Cost and Legal requirements for the component throughout its life cycle. A big part of the job will be to act project manager for the engineering part of component and sub-system projects, for both conventional and electrified Volvo CE machines. You will also secure progress in ongoing Product Maintenance activities for your area of responsibility. Within your function you will also co-ordinate Engine System department 's total cost rationalization activities, securing both budget and progress for decided activities.
The work is performed within our team of engineers at Engine Auxiliary Systems in Eskilstuna and in cooperation with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. With the role comes also the responsibility for planning, budgeting, delivery, synchronization, follow-up and status reporting.
The work is done in a highly global environment with internal as well as external customers and partners. Good communication and cooperation skills are essential. Deep technical understanding is of high importance. Engine system understanding, or the willingness to learn, is also of high importance, since the components you will own interact and impact the engines. Some travelling will be required.

Education / Competence:
M.Sc or B.Sc with documented experiences within relevant areas
Experience within Project Management
Experience within Mechanical Development
Experience of participating in global teams
Strong leadership skills
Strong in planning and structure work
Result oriented
Fluent in English (spoken & written), other languages are beneficial
Travel up to 10%
