Component Leader - Fan system
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As COMPONENT LEADER - FAN SYSTEM within the group Cooling System you are responsible for the development of the electric cooling fan and the introduction of all technical solutions. Cooling System is a fundamental and focused area within power train installation and you will cooperate with suppliers, system operators, project leaders and the line organisation. As Component Leader it is important to be able to optimise performance, cost, weight, quality, package space and cable harness to the car system. Your technical competence should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and technical conclusions.
Job profile:
• Develop and introduce all technical solutions
• Have close contact with different departments and the line organisation
• Lead the software communication with the control unit
• Monitor the market and its development
• Take decisions regarding the components
• Act as a fan system expert
Your profile:
• University degree in electronics/mechatronics
• Engaged and driven for result
• Organised and structured in following up the work
• Ability to solve problems
• Personal energy
• Excellent communication skills
• Well developed knowledge of electrical motors, fan system and control units
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Experience from development work in the car industry
