The section Switches and Comfort Electronics within the Vehicle SW & Electronics has responsibilities that stretches from early phases until launch of new cars. We develop customer functionality; handle project management, analysis, verification, hardware and software. The technical responsibility covers many of the switches and comfort systems in the vehicle. The section consists of approximately 60 persons, distributed in five groups.
The group Centerstack & Parking Climate today includes 8 persons. We are responsible for SW and HW design for Climate Control Module (CCM), Center Console Switch Module (CCSM), Rear Console Switch Module (RCSM), Rear Seat Heat Control (RSHC), Sun Sensor (SUS) and for developing 12V power outlet, 230V power outlet and USB charger outlet. Within the group, we also have the responsibility of functional ownership of power outlet and charging function.
As a component designer SW you will work with existing and new functionality in current and upcoming car projects.
The work is done in teams that consist of system designers, software designers, hardware designers and a task leader. You are in close cooperation with the verification group and several other functions within Volvo Car Group. This work includes many international contacts and is done in cooperation with international suppliers.
Main responsibilities
* Be the link between the system owners at Volvo Car Group and the component supplier's SW developers
* Break down and clarify the requirements
* Develop the diagnostic strategy and review its implementation
* Responsible for making sure that the SW is correctly verified internally and by the supplier before delivery to different car programs
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. grade within Electrical, Computer, Engineering Physics or equivalent level of education
* Experience of developing software and specifications
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* B driving license
Meritorious qualifications
* M.Sc. in Electrical, Computer or Engineering Physics
* Agile development processes
* Knowledge in AUTOSAR
* Other language skills

* High integrity and professionalism
* Holistic view and conceptual thinking
* Structured with good documentation and communication skills
* Business and performance driven
* Self-driven, reliable and a strong team player
