Do you live and die for gameplay? Then this might just be the job for you! Starbreeze is now looking for a Compliance Lead to join our kick-ass team in Stockholm.

The main purpose of the Compliance Lead role is to develop and direct technical compliance testing procedures for the assigned console manufacturer and project, working with key stakeholders to ensure that all Starbreeze products meet the necessary internal and 1st party requirements before release. They will take a leadership position in establishing and communicating risk assessments and best-practice in relation to compliance issues and associated procedures. Leads are also responsible for delivering defined testing procedures, conducting documentation reviews and delivering software testing expertise and answering queries from game teams.

They will create test cases, forecast testing efforts, review concerns and monitor overall testing progress of area of expertise on all titles in alignment with the overall test strategy.

Job tasks:

• Maintain high level understanding of all internal and 1st party requirements relating to the hardware platform(s); monitor 1st party developer sites and other information sources relating to the specified game platform(s) to ensure test cases employed comply with 1st party and Starbreeze standards.
• Create, maintain and publish relevant 1st Party documentation and best practices.
• Gain a suitable understanding of the titles/genre assigned to and provide feedback/risk assessment to feature and content designers as needed.
• Test case creation from game/ feature design documentation, genre and platform expertise.
• Collaborate with QA Management to ensure alignment over the global testing strategy.
• Review concerns reported and provide issue severity assessment, publish/respond to issues where required.
• Use necessary game experience and technical expertise to conduct hands-on testing during the entire development cycle, perform test case regression, verification, and assist in ad-hoc requests as needed for both software and documentation reviews.
• In collaboration with QA Management, responsible for platform specific hardware forecast and purchase.

You haveat least 3 years work experiencein the video game or entertainment industry. You have at least 1 year of hands on compliance testing and are systematic and logical when you test and you have an understanding of how games are put together, and how the different elements of a game contribute to the playing experience.

To be successfulin this position you are:

• Being able to keep documentation through various programs
• Enormous passion for games
• Task driven, self-motivated, and proactive
• Good English language skills (written and verbal) are necessary in order to document features and communicate them to colleagues.
• IT competence, including use of spreadsheets and database packages, is also required.
• Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry, including the different platforms, game styles, and genres.
• Strong observational skills, analytical and detail-oriented
• Strong organizational skills, and methodical
• Strong inter-personal communication skills
• Capability to be flexible and team-oriented with the aptitude to balance multiple tasks
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Knowledge of testing/planning tools
• Knowledge of software development methodology and stages (milestones/sprints, Alpha, Beta)
• Good knowledge of gaming consoles and software: strong interest in video games and/or software testing
