hela Sverige Are you passionate about machine safety and curious about the technology behind modern manufacturing? As Compliance Engineer - Machine Safety, you make sure the production systems that build Axis products are safe, compliant and CE-marked. You will be our regulatory anchor, bridging technical design and legal requirements. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our headquarters in Lund.
Who is your future team?
You will join the QA & Tools team, nine engineers within our Production Engineering and Technology Systems department. We take care of the machines and systems that power Axis production - everything from custom alignment solutions to advanced robotics. Without safe and compliant production equipment, we cannot deliver the quality Axis is known for. Knowledge sharing is part of our everyday, and there is real room to influence how we work.
What you'll do here as Compliance Engineer - Machine Safety
You guide our development projects through the landscape of machine safety and compliance, making sure our production systems are ready to power the manufacturing of tomorrow.
Take the operational lead in ensuring that our production systems, machinery and automation lines comply with the Machinery Regulation (EU 2023/1230) and relevant safety standards.
Support development projects with guidance on risk assessments and verify that safety functions meet the required performance levels.
Guide projects and co-ordinate compliance-related activities regarding related directives and regulations such as LVD, EMC, RoHS and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) in relation to industrial automation.
Act as a supporting partner to our development teams, securing that our processes stay up to date with relevant standards.
Manage the Technical Construction Files, making sure risk assessments, test reports, declarations of conformity (DoC) and safety documentation are complete and audit-ready.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who finds genuine satisfaction in combining regulatory precision with technical understanding to build safe machines. You are analytical and meticulous, and you enjoy digging into the details of safety circuits, standards and risk assessments. You communicate in a structured way and translate complex safety regulations into clear, practical guidance for design and automation engineers. You are collaborative and driven, comfortable supporting several project teams at the same time as a trusted compliance partner.
We'd love to hear that you have/are:
A Master's degree (M.Sc.) in engineering - mechanical, mechatronics, automation, electronics - or equivalent knowledge gained in other ways.
Solid experience within compliance, specifically risk assessments, safety functions and CE-marking of complex production machinery.
In-depth knowledge of machine safety standards and good working knowledge of the Machinery Regulation.
Fluent in English.
Bonus points for:
Experience from product development.
Working knowledge of SISTEMA or similar tools.
An interest in or understanding of software applications and control systems for production machines.
Proficiency in Swedish
