Position Description Compliance Counsel to AB Volvo, Corporate Compliance in Göteborg
Corporate Compliance is a head-office function being responsible for developing and driving implementation of the global Volvo Group Compliance Programmes relating to Anti-Corruption, Competition Law, Export Control and Data Privacy. Corporate Compliance works in close cooperation with the legal function of the Volvo Group. The Volvo Group employs approximately 130 corporate and compliance counsels worldwide.
Corporate Compliance ia now seeking to recruit an experienced lawyer to join our team in Göteborg and to take the primary responsibility for our Competition Law Compliance Programme. You will:
be a key contributor in building and developing the Volvo Group's compliance framework,
provide global compliance training,
be involved in compliance investigations on a global basis
provide hands-on, competition law compliance advice,
take an active part in driving the development and the overall activities of Corporate Compliance,
contribute to a good teamwork.
In your role, you will work closely with the different legal teams in the Volvo Group as well as with a wide range of other functions and businesses in the Group.
Qualifications:
You should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in business law with some experience in one or more of the compliance areas outlined above (preferably competition law).
You need to have excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
You should have integrity, be pro-active, business oriented and creative as well as have a demonstrated ability to cooperate and work in a team.
You should have a proven ability and interest in driving change as well as formal or informal leadership experiences linked to driving change in a legal context
You will be expected to provide support and training mainly in English, and you must therefore be proficient in the English language.
