Toyota Industries Europe (TIE) is the European holding entity of Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) in Japan. Hosting business units like Vanderlande, Toyota Material Handling Europe and viastore, we employ over 25,000 people across Europe. While our foundation is deeply rooted in Europe, approximately 15% of our operations extend to the United States and Asia. With a turnover of around EUR6.2 billion, Toyota Industries Europe is a strong global organisation focused on creating synergies across our businesses. We are optimising corporate services, strengthening governance and enhancing performance by developing key talent and driving innovation throughout all business units.

The Position
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the policy framework that supports our compliance efforts across Europe. You will ensure that our internal policies and instructions are clear, consistent and aligned with both legal requirements and TICO's global standards.
Your work will directly contribute to a strong compliance culture by providing practical guidance, monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring that our policies remain relevant and effective. You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions and geographies, translating complex legal requirements into accessible and actionable internal guidance.
This position is part of our Compliance Department and reports directly to the Regional Chief Compliance Officer of Toyota Industries Europe.
Your responsibilities
Develop, revise and manage internal policies and instructions across the European organisation.
Ensure consistency with legal standards, regulatory requirements and internal governance principles.
Provide practical compliance support to teams, helping them interpret and apply policy requirements.
Track changes in relevant legislation and industry practices and adjust policies accordingly.
Convert regulatory language into user-friendly guidance tailored to operational contexts.

Your profile
3+ years experience in corporate legal compliance or related legal advisory roles.
Expertise in regulatory compliance and legal risk management.
Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining corporate legal policies and compliance frameworks.
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Excellent policy drafting, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
High integrity and discretion in handling confidential matters.
Proficiency in both Swedish and English, written and verbal.
Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent university degree.

Our Offer
This position is based at our headquarters in Mjölby, with the option to work from our office in Stockholm. We offer flexible work arrangements, a competitive benefits package including annual bonus opportunities and a supportive environment where personal wellbeing and professional growth go hand in hand.
At Toyota Industries Europe, you'll be part of a collaborative and international team that values your ideas and contributions. We provide clear direction from senior leadership and plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and advance your career. You'll work on meaningful projects in a dynamic industry while enjoying a healthy balance between work and life.
Continuous learning is part of our culture, and you'll have the chance to take on new challenges, develop expertise and grow alongside talented colleagues from across Europe.
