Being a regulated financial entity, as part of our normal business conduct, we prevent, detect and investigate financial crime. We firmly endorse a culture of integrity and honesty and have a zero-tolerance approach to financial crime, as we aim to prevent, detect and investigate all forms of financial crime. We are expanding our legal team with two Compliance Officers to strengthen our compliance team. The role entails:
• Reviewing alarms generated by internal system, by carrying out enhanced due diligence activities including identifying the source of funds for flagged customers
• Using detective-like mentality to investigate and escalate potentially suspicious activity such as money laundering
• Using publicly available information, as well as communicate directly with customers to obtain gather enhanced due diligence information
• Tightly communicate and coordinate with customers and other team members in supplying supplementary information
The ideal candidate:
• An academic degree in a field such as business administration or law (other fields will be considered)
• Values a customer-centric approach and understands the need of customers (previous experience of customer service is plus)
• Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., MS-Word, MS-Excel)
• A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn
• Fluency in English and Somali or Dari
We encourage applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. Previous experience in the field is a plus but not required.
