About the Role: As a Competence & Training Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring that the Operations team has the capabilities required to perform effectively, consistently meets defined standards, and remains up to date with ongoing developments and changes.
A key part of the role is to partner with leaders and specialists in Operations, as well as HR, to build, develop, and continuously evolve the EcoDC Academy as a central platform for learning and capability development across Operations.
This includes developing, maintaining, and continuously improving competency frameworks, training plans, and learning initiatives, ensuring their structured and measurable implementation to support safe, reliable, and stable operations.
You act as a key link between functions across the organization, translating processes, standards, and operational needs into targeted training, effective learning solutions, and strong capability development across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve competency matrices for Operations roles, ensuring alignment with internal processes, group standards, and close collaboration with stakeholders in Operations and HR.
Establish and manage clear, structured, and role-based training plans that support both onboarding and continuous development.
Design, develop, and continuously enhance training programs and courses, leveraging effective learning tools and platforms.
Coordinate and facilitate recurring training activities, including SOP/MOP/EOP training, incident response drills, and safety-related sessions (e.g., crisis management, business continuity, and CPR).
In collaboration with managers, identify competency gaps, development needs, and growth ambitions, and monitor and follow up on training activities.
Drive the implementation of new or updated standards by developing training materials and packages, and leading train-the-trainer initiatives.
Your Profile: You have experience driving development initiatives related to competency, training, and development - ideally working with competency frameworks and learning structures. You bring experience, or clear potential, to take ownership and drive initiatives forward, including building, developing, and managing processes and ways of working.
With a strong ability to plan, coordinate, and follow up on training activities, you work in a structured and proactive way that ensures continuity and high quality in learning.
The role requires strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally in a supporting capacity. You build relationships, align stakeholders, and help move shared initiatives forward. You contribute to a culture of respect, engagement, and continuous development, while supporting collaboration and growth across the organization.
Your background includes:
Experience driving initiatives related to competency, training, and development.
Experience in building, developing, and managing processes and ways of working within these areas.
Experience from operational environments with high quality and performance standards.
Experience working with standards and certifications is considered an advantage.
Experience in growth environments or scale-ups is considered an advantage.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
A relevant college or university degree.
