What you will be a part of
Saab Kockums provides design, construction and in-service support for advanced naval systems such as surface combatants and submarines to the Swedish Armed Forces and other customers worldwide. Our product portfolio consist of the air-independent Stirling system, mine countermeasure systems and submarine rescue systems amongst other. Saab Kockums operate in Karlskrona, Malmö, Muskö, Järfälla and Singapore.

You report to Head of Communications at Kockums and SVP Communications and will work from either our centrally located office at "Dockan" in Malmö or our Karlskrona office at the seaside. The position requires frequent business travels within Sweden on a weekly basis and occasionally you need to attend meetings and events in Sweden and abroad.
Your role
Together with the colleagues in the communications department you will initiate new ideas and work with efforts to increase visibility and strengthen the position of the business area. An important part of the function is to inform and engage other entities. Everything we do has to translate into digital application and can be used in multiple channels. You will follow and assist the VP communication as well as interact with several other co-workers in Market & Sales, Business Units, Group Functions and Market Areas.
As Communications manager, your main tasks are;
Coordinate and administrate various projects and activities in the field of communication, internally within the business area as well as with external suppliers.
Create marketing material (digital and print) in both Swedish and English, such as short films, brochures, presentations and exhibition material.
Create editorial content for external web site, social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube) and our intranet.
Participate in planning large and smaller events such as tradeshows, public events, smaller meetings, and planning before, during and after them.

Your skills and experience
You must be interested to work in the defence industry and contribute to a national effort. The role is a challenging one and requires experience to push the communication further. Also you need to be able to work independently in a fast pace as well as being perceptive in smaller project teams. We are looking for someone with a few years professional communications experience in above mentioned tasks within a larger organisation, ideally within the defence field or related area.
You have for the position, relevant education - preferably within marketing on a university level. Skills in social media is a requirement, you can with ease work with FB, Twitter, Linkedin etc. and of course you feel at home within the Office programs. Experience in newsletter tools such as Apsis, CMS tools, search optimization and analysis, and press work and message formulation is a merit. Proficiency in Swedish and English is a requirement. Diving licence is a merit.In order to be able to thrive and deliver in your role, you need to have a natural drive and a doer attitude! We work in a fast paced environment and a sense of urgency is a must! You have a proactive way, take ownership for your tasks, are serviceminded but also know how to and are not afraid to set requirements.
