City Solutions develops and delivers sustainable solutions for urban areas. The division comprises heating and cooling, waste-to-energy, operation and maintenance services, biomass, recycling and other circular economy solutions. The business operations are located in the Nordics, the Baltic countries and Poland, and there are also several interesting projects going on globally.
In this role you will be responsible for coordinating division wide projects in close cooperation with country specific teams or business areas and other divisions or corporate functions. You will have a leading role in the development of cross country cooperation platforms, discussion fora and information exchange as well as for defining the role of communications in cross business areas hubs. You will also be actively involved in setting up communications support for projects in new geographical areas, including taking responsibility for some of them as the project work develops.

Your qualifications
We are looking for a communications professional with a suitable university degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in communications and/or public affairs. Understanding of energy business would be very important from the start, some knowledge of new innovations within bio economy, waste to energy solutions or district heating would be an asset.
You have proven track record in team work/management as well as project management across the borders. You are result oriented and have ability to influence and motivate others. In this job you will need to demonstrate creativity, conceptual thinking as well as self-discipline. We would also expect a hands-on approach to work and ability to execute under pressure. You are fluent in English. Other Fortum languages (e.g. Finnish, Swedish, Polish) are considered an asset.
