Temporary position due to parental leave
The Communications and Marketing team is in charge of SSE's communications and brand development. Our role ranges from strategic planning and developing the SSE communications strategy to proactive internal and external communications, media relations, PR and education program marketing. The aim is to underpin, strengthen and develop SSE?s brand and profile and to support SSE's overall strategy.
The Communications & Marketing team is part of the External Relations Department at SSE. The Communications & Marketing Manager heads a team of three and reports to the Director of External Relations.
As Communications & Marketing Manager, you will be overall responsible for:
• SSEs external and internal communication
• The SSE brand
• Media relations and strategy
• Communication channels
• PR activities
• Overall profile check-point
We are looking for someone who has:
• Adaptability and flexibility in working in a fast paced environment
• Strong motivation and a problem-solving attitude
• A team-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated ability in project management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent media relationships skills
• Excellent written communication skills, English and Swedish
• Knowledge of all areas within communications, and all mediums, including web, print, online, video, and social media
• Proven experience of brand management
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience from international settings
• A non-prestigious perspective and the ability to perform routine as well as strategic work, with changing priorities
An academic degree in relevant field is required.
Experience from an academic setting is preferred but not required.
The position is full-time, temporary due to parental leave, minimum 1 year, starting latest February 1st 2016.
