The Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation currently has four programme areas;

and Reform of the UN development system.
The Foundation is based in the center of Uppsala. The working language of the Foundation is English. Uppsala is a short train ride of 38 minutes from central Stockholm.

www.dhf.uu.sePubliceringsdatum2014-04-29Dina arbetsuppgifterThe Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation seeks a motivated professional to fill the position of Communications and IT Manager. The Communications and IT Manager is responsible for the web-based part of the communications work, as well as all the IT services of the Secretariat.
The Communications and IT Manager will manage the website including content. A new website is currently under construction. He/she will also manage the social media and will be producing a strategy for outreach in these channels. The responsibility for webcasts, podcasts, videos (as well as live streaming) is also included in this position. You will be in charge of computers, software and the phone system, as well as servers and other IT structure. We currently mainly work with Mac OS.
You will work closely with the Communication and Outreach Manager to help plan and execute overall external communication for the Foundation. The Communications and IT Manager is an integral member of the DHF team, yet has the ability to take initiative and work independently. The Communications and IT Manager reports to the Executive Director. The position is full time.
Required qualifications for this position are:
• An undergraduate or graduate degree in journalism, media and communication or IT;
• Minimum three years working experience in similar capacities;
• International experience is desirable;
• Understanding of international development issues;
• Fluency in English, written and oral, with good Swedish;
• Writing and editing skills in English is essential.
The expected start date for this position is 15 August 2014, but is negotiable.
