What you will do
As Communication Strategist you will be part of a team that develops and implements communication strategies for the largest function at Volvo Cars - Engineering & Operations - with around 35 000 employees. You will be involved in areas such as Research & Development, Safety, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
You will be part of the Engineering & Operations Communication Team of 11 communicators with the task to enforce our strategic ambition, to find the right story-telling that over time drives our transformation and have positive impact on our position and business growth. You will lead communication projects from start to finish, collaborating with the wider communication team such as our PR team, Employee Communications team and Content team. You will also network across our wider global business.
Engaging and efficient employee communication will be a key task, however you will also consider audiences ranging from media, customers, investors, analysts, potential future hires, Volvo fans.
Who you are
We are looking for a progressive communicator who can see beyond the obvious delivery and takes an innovative approach to communication. You are a strong strategic thinker and problem-solver. You can see stories where others cannot. You are driven and inherently curious about what's happening in the world, so you place your efforts into a wider context. You have strong collaboration skills, can drive direction and are always eager to improve and take a creative approach to building the Volvo Cars brand outside the traditional automotive space.
Experience:
• Solid experience from Communications in a global business environment
• Excellent English writing skills
• Experience and/or interest in Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain functions
• Interest and experience within sustainability is a great plus as well as digital communication skills
