About the role
Epiroc is a leading productivity partner for the mining and infrastructure industries. Rock Drilling Tools is a division within Epiroc that develops, manufactures and markets rock drilling tools worldwide. The products are used for rock excavation within the mining and construction business for both surface and underground applications. The division's headquarter is located in Fagersta, Sweden and has production in five continents.
As Communication Specialist your assignment will be to plan, develop, execute and follow up the divisions external communication in order to significantly contribute to the business goals and build the Epiroc brand. In this role you have the possibility to define the foundation and influence how the role is shaped. You are responsible for developing the strategy for your responsibility area as well as implementing it through projects and actions, to reach both long- and short term goals. An important focus area are product launches where you need to create strong and efficient tools for the sales companies to successfully launch the products on their local markets.
About you
You have at least 5 years of experience of working with communication, both strategically and operatively. You use your experience to find structured and efficient solutions and you can easily adapt to new conditions. You have an academic degree, preferably in the fields of information, communication, marketing or equivalent. The majority of all communication in Epiroc is in English, which is the corporate language, so proficiency in spoken and written English is a necessity. This role requires a self-propelled person who enjoys taking a lot of responsibility with the ability to take your own initiatives. As a writer, you easily adapt content to different target groups, channels and objectives.
Being a natural networker who influences and drives communication in an enthusiastic way will really benefit your work here and you use these assets to quickly analyze the communicational need in different projects. This results in great solutions with clear objectives. Your best days at work are when there is a lot going on and you navigate between tasks with clear priorities. You create great working relations to support the collaboration between functions and you do this on a foundation of competence to motivate your solutions.
Qualifications
- Academic degree in marketing/media/communication or the equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience from leading and coordinating the production of campaigns and product launches.
- Experience of copywriting and editing.
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written with high stylistic ability. Other languages are meriting.
- Good graphical skills and experience from using Adobe CC.
- Experience of working with press and media is meriting.
