The assignment is to produce high quality cars in a robust, lean and environment friendly production process. Torslanda plant produced 168,000 cars last year .That was an increase with 23 per cent compared with 2010. 2012 is a year with many challenges for VCT and the Communication Manager. We are, among other things, launching two new models; the V60 Plug-in Hybrid and the S60.
The communication department at VCT works in conjunction with Volvo Cars Manufacturing communication department and Public Affairs, at Volvo Cars head office. Its main target group is VCTs more than 3,000 employees.
The Communication Manager holds a key position to communicate with all employees and keep them informed with relevant information in a credible way. We aim high and act fast. The Communication Manager has to - beside the passion for cars - also have the passion for communication. Accuracy and rapidity are key skills in this position, from producing news items on the intranet to long term presentations for all employees at town halls.
The Communication Manager VCT is a member of the Volvo Cars Torslanda management team. The position reports to VCT plant manager.

Responsibility:
The Communication Manager's responsibility is to secure communication at all levels within Volvo Cars Torslanda plant.
Main tasks:
Internal communication at VCT; newsletters, intranet articles, meetings, e-mail
Communication planning and strategy
Communication support and education
Coordinate and handle Town hall meetings for managers and employees
Coordinate and handle media visits
Qualifications/skills:
Relevant university degree
Ability to write fast, understandable in a journalistic way
Photographing and lay out skills
Experience of producing sententious presentations
Good knowledge of targeted and efficient communication in Swedish and English
Strategic planning competence
Media working way know-how and experience of media visits
