Who you are
Driven by the IKEA vision to "Create a better everyday life for the many people", our 80-year success originates from our values such as simplicity, togetherness and renew and improve. We are continuously asking ourselves how to become more affordable, accessible, sustainable and more relevant for the many. We want people to choose IKEA, not only because of what we offer, but also for what we stand for. We are on a journey to inspire changes in lifestyle and consumption, as well as adopting new ways of working and rethinking.
So, if you are a communication professional with experience and a genuine interest in a purpose-led retail agenda, keep on reading. We believe that you, when doing strategic, tactical, and operational communication work, thrive in the role as Communication Business Partner when you:
Challenge, coach, and support stakeholders on the highest level of seniority at the IKEA retail business.
Navigate and move proactively in the unknown, being part of finding the answers.
Trust your judgment in challenging situations and show resilience.
Act and advise on strategic matters with the ability to draft clear and concise messages and make them come alive visually when needed.
Master external and internal communication, from a global or country perspective.
Are excellent in English, both verbal and written.

Last but certainly not least, you embody the IKEA values, leading yourself and others to test and learn in ever-changing times. Does this sound like a match? Then keep on reading and apply if this role sparks your interest!
What you'll be doing day to day
Customer expectations continue to rise for more convenient experiences no matter whether buying a sofa, a new kitchen, or a set of napkins. With this comes new opportunities to innovate and re-invent our business. We are increasingly integrating our digital and physical channels so that they interact and strengthen each other, for a seamless IKEA experience.
In this role you will contribute to the growth of IKEA retail and positioning of IKEA brand by planning, producing, executing and evaluating communication for internal and external audiences, in close collaboration with the business where decisions are made. You will do this by supporting one or more of our strategic areas within IKEA Retail: Affordability/Pricing agenda, Operations, Remote Customer Meetings, IKEA Food, Retail Sustainability and the overall Growth agenda.
You will be partnering effectively with colleagues in the full range of communication disciplines, such as Media Relations, Public Affairs & Advocacy, Co-worker Comms and Campaigning. All of this while you keep the needs of relevant stakeholders, customers, and co-workers at heart.
To be concrete, when positioning IKEA, enable better business outcomes and empower people, this means that you will:
Give strategic communication advice and hands on support in larger business decisions, urgent matters and crisis.
Secure a communication foundation by narratives and key messages to secure a red thread in strategic business topics.
Clarify and strengthen business initiatives with communication packages, to support better business outcome.
Offer templates, tools, training and coaching to enable business leaders to lead with communication and be spokespeople for IKEA.

This is permanent role, located in Malmö, Sweden. You will be a part of a team of five Communication Business Partner colleagues and work closely together with the business teams in the area(s) you will support within IKEA Retail.
