You enjoy a real communication challenge, in an environment where everything is changing. You have demonstrable experience of social, environmental and sustainable business issues within corporate communications, ideally within the retail sector.
As an experienced sustainability communications professional, you have worked at least 10 years in internal, external and change communications either within a global brand, strategic communications consultancy or sustainable business-focused NGO, and you have successfully led high performing teams.
You thrive on making complex topics simple and demonstrating how strategic communication can enable the business to achieve its objectives. You are a trusted coach and advisor to senior leaders, enabling them to effectively use strategic communication to deliver results, manage risks and lead more effectively.
Your deep understanding of the full range of communication disciplines, such as media relations, public affairs, and campaigning enables you to design and steer communication strategies with maximum impact. All the while, you keep the needs of relevant stakeholders, customers and co-workers' at heart.
You are a team player and find energy and results in collaboration. Last but certainly not least, you embody the IKEA values and are not afraid to find your way and test and learn in changing times.
If this is you, then join us in the Communication Business Partner Team Sustainability area as Communications Business Manager. In this assignment you will have the opportunity to be a team leader and strategic communication advisor for a wide range of initiatives that are part of the Ingka Group sustainability strategy, contributing to the overall IKEA People and Planet Positive strategy. Your responsibilities will include being an active member of the Business Partner Unit Management Team (Group Communications) and the Sustainability Management Team (Group Sustainability).
This role is 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover, starting 1 April 2020) and will be located in Malmö, Sweden.
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
In your role as Communication Business Partner for Sustainability you will:
• play an active role in Sustainability Management and Business Partner Unit Management teams
• contribute to driving business outcomes in alignment with the Group Sustainability and Group Communications business plans
• lead a team of Communication Business Partners who are contributing to or leading a wide range of sustainability communication initiatives
• be a strategic communication sparring partner (and coach) to Group Sustainability and the management team
• explore new ways to communicate sustainability initiatives that are part of the the "10 jobs in three years" plan, making them more accessible for a larger target audience
• help to promote and encourage new ways of working within the Group Communications function and the matrix organisation across Ingka Group's 30 retail countries
