Monocl Strategy Services is looking for a highly organized and driven junior-level communication professional with an interest in the Life Science industry to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity as you will help shape the future of smaller biotech companies through effective communication activities, where your impact is seen imminently.
We think that you have previous work or internship experience in communication/public relations, and you're highly organized with an attention to detail, have an ability to multi-task and be mindful of many deadlines. You possess excellent writing skills in Swedish and English, and have a good understanding of business, the media landscape and social media. To enjoy the work, you should have a passion for learning, a "can do" attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset.
You will be employed and based in Göteborg and work from our newly renovated office with approximately 20 other colleagues. Flexibility is required if international or national client engagements may require you to travel for meetings and workshops.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Work across a range of bio/med tech clients
o Assist in communication strategy development and activity execution for our bio/med tech clients
o Develop media materials such as press releases, pitch emails, reporter backgrounders, social media posts and fact sheets
o Ghost-write newsletters and articles on behalf of clients
o Develop targeted media lists and keep up with industry news
o Media relations, create and drive outreach plans, secure media coverage/briefings, brief spokespeople and ongoing development of contact network
o Investor relations, support develop company presentations for various audiences and regulatory-required documentation development

QUALIFICATIONS:
o 1+ years' work experience related to communication, PR, journalism, business analysis
o Bachelor and/or master's degree from top universities in relevant fields (business, communication, pharmaceuticals, biology, health economics, pharmacy etc.)
o Genuine interest in Life Science and curiosity to learn
o Effective communication and writing skills in English and Swedish
o Efficient in critical thinking and problem solving
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Agency/consulting experience preferred
o Leadership potential as demonstrated by e.g. extracurricular activities
o Thrives in a fast-paced environment and perform with a sense of urgency and client service orientation
o Solid interpersonal skills that enable positive influencing of others
o Fluency in additional languages
