The SQD department is globally set up and managed by regional managers. The SQD organization is reporting to the EVP Purchasing. In Europe the team is consisting of 11 Project SQDs, 5 Commodity SQDs and 2 Supplier response team SQDs.
Commodity SQD (Supplier Quality Development) Engineer Europe
As Commodity SQD engineer you will be responsible to develop and follow up the suppliers in the Commodity Castings, Metal Raw Material and Wire/Rope/Cables. You will report directly to the Commodity SQD Manager Europe.
Main responsibilities:
• Evaluation and validation of potential new suppliers according to Commodity strategies
• Improvement of the Supplier base by performing process and/ or system audits. Follow up the corresponding action plans
• Secure suppliers processes at suppliers site
• Responsibility and support in the supplier escalation process (QIP)
• Monitor the supplier performance of the supplier base to ensure achievement of quality goals
• Drive and support supplier development activities and workshops
• Close interactions with supplier to secure continuously improvement of their processes
• Extensive cross functional cooperation internal and external
• Work in an International environment
Main Qualifications:
• Ms. Engineer/ Engineer
• At least five year's experience in manufacturing industry and quality. Preferably in production/ process engineering or quality engineering
• Preferably ISO/TS and VDA 6.3 1st and 2nd party auditor qualification
• Relevant quality tools and techniques (QAP, APQP, PPAP, root cause analysis, 8D, etc...)
• Training in measuring engineering, print and tolerance interpretation
• Computer skills including MS Office, PLM, SAP
• High degree of personal integrity and confidence
• Good conflict management skills
• Facilitation skills with a high focus on solutions
• Have a good command of written and spoken English
This position is preferable to be based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Alternative locations might be up for discussion Frequent travel is required.
