SOURCING TEAM
Sourcing's task is to create best possible prerequisites for a reliable and efficient supply chain. We make sure to have the most suitable suppliers and utilize them in order to achieve maximum contribution both commercially and technically.
This position is very important because you will have great opportunity to affect big part of Axis total purchasing costs and by this have opportunity to affect and make big difference to our business and continued success.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Commodity Specialist your main tasks will be:
Continuously decrease purchase prices on standard electronics components Be involved in early product development in order to influence component choices as well as taking care of commercial discussions with suppliers during development phase Work in close cooperation with our contract manufacturers by assisting them to achieve competitive component pricing Develop supplier base in order to secure cost competitiveness and risk management Keep track of market trends within electronics industry and act to minimize supply disturbances Be responsible for developing suppliers performance in order to support Axis vision Support Axis prototype organization during commercial discussions and business negotiations
The position acquires 10-30 days of travelling per year
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As a person you are well structured and result oriented. You are collaborative and open in the interaction with your colleagues and external stakeholders. You are not only willing to learn from your colleagues, but also willing to share your knowledge and information in the team. You have an University degree or similar post-secondary education within Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering. You have a big contact network and good knowledge of the electronics industry, cost drivers in the market and general electronics component pricing.
Additional to above we see that you have:
Excellent skills in English, both orally and in writing At least 3 years of experience from international purchasing/sourcing Experience from working in ERP systems Proven negotiation skills Experience from different business cultures Knowledge of Category Management Experience from working with Contract Manufacturers
