In the Husqvarna Group, Indirect Materials is one of the focus areas which have a very high priority and is expected to significantly contribute to the company's result.
This position is a part of the central purchasing department in Huskvarna which will combine activities for all sectors in Europe within Indirect Materials.
Responsibilities and duties
You will be responsible for strategies and purchasing of Indirect Material and Services, directly for Sweden and coordinating for rest of Europe.
You have a counterpart in North America who you will communicate and cooperate with. Your responsibility will be to coordinate the activities between the different units. The units can be factories, head offices, marketing and sales companies. The purchasing strategies for Indirect Material and Services are proposed and decided in our global purchasing councils after approvals of the stake holders in different areas.
Most of our factories around in the world have responsible buyers for indirect material, full or part time. These buyers normally reports to the local purchasing managers within the product lines for both consumer and professional products in the group. These buyers will also report to you as well as reporting locally. The purchasing today is also made by other functions as IT, logistics, marketing and factories. Your responsibility will then be to support these activities within these areas and to have them integrated in the purchasing responsibilities. You will find more information at

In order to succeed in this position you need to have international experience in the areas of agreements, negotiations and purchasing processes. You must have at least 10 years of qualified purchasing experience, of which at least 5 years in the area of Indirect Materials. Experience of e-commerce will be seen as very positive.
We are looking for an independent, self-motivated person with a lot of drive to achieve change within the organization. You probably have a degree from University within economy, technical or business law. Full knowledge of English as well as Swedish language is required.
