Commodity Manager Professional Services and HR


Unit/Department Description:
Sourcing at Husqvarna is organized in several functions securing quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of supply. One of the key functions within Sourcing is Indirect Sourcing, which focuses on commercial relationships with suppliers and the business in managing all indirect material procurement.


The Indirect Sourcing function is responsible for aggregating purchases and strategies through the Indirect Sourcing Lead buyer network to ensure the greatest value is provided to the organization's internal customers through optimal sourcing of cost and terms for indirect material and services.


Position/Job Description:
The Commodity Manager Professional Services and HR is part of the Husqvarna Indirect Sourcing Team and is the Business partner to various stakeholders in need of external professional services.
The primary responsibility for this position will be to take ownership in commercial matters related to Professional Services and HR categories supplier-, and contract management. He/she will be responsible to ensure the quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of supply. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in sourcing and managing supplier relationships in following areas: recruitment service, temporary labor (both blue and white collar), various consulting services (both T&M and project based).


Essential Duties:
• Update and implement commodity strategies by setting commodity targets, e.g. with regards to cost reduction, supplier reduction, specification standardization etc.
• Drive value by conducting sourcing and entering into cost efficient agreements that fulfil supply requirements, by using a systematic methodology and a continuous total cost of ownership focus. Oversee the negotiation, development and maintenance of vendor agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships to drive supplier performance, contract effectiveness, collaboration and integration and deliver improved result. Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key vendors with the objective of reducing costs and eliminating efficiencies.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and other functions to ensure continuous improvement, demand management and reduced maverick buying. Work with stakeholders to continuously reduce maverick buying and increase spend under control.
• Be ultimately in charge of all commercial relationships with suppliers within assigned commodity Professional Services and HR, securing targeted levels of cost, quality, delivery precision, sustainability, etc.


Preferred qualifications:

Education:
• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, or other relevant discipline
• Preferred: Master's Degree and recognized qualification in Purchasing

Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in commodity management positions
• Experience of Sourcing Professional Services and HR or other Indirect Commodities is an advantage

Languages:
• Fluency in English is required (written and oral)
• Fluency in additional languages, e.g. German, or other language, is an advantage


Skills and capabilities
• Good experience from making priorities and independently identify importance and order of tasks.
• Track record of using time effectively and efficiently.
• Experience from working on more than one project simultaneously which have a moderate level of complexity.
• Strong influencing skills to promote Commodity Strategies and ideas to the Business partners
• Deep insights in the purchasing environment in the indirect Sourcing field; sufficient to analyse business purchasing issues, recommend solutions and strategies and implement changes
• Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Ability to work with internal stakeholders and drive the Sourcing agenda
• Excellent knowledge of the tactical sourcing methodology and its application in for example fact based negotiations and cross functional team collaboration
• Capabilities in managing supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development and integration
• Knowledge and experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) including presentation and database applications.
• Written and verbal communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening, negotiation, etc)
