Commodity Manager Plastics Handheld & Wheeled Europe

Essential Duties:
• Be ultimately in charge of all commercial relationships with
suppliers within the commodity on the global or regional level (as assigned), securing targeted levels of cost, quality, delivery precision, sustainability, etc.
• Form a long term strategy of how to deliver the greatest value for
the assigned commodity and crafting a plan how to achieve it.
• Drive value by implementing strategic sourcing and entering into
cost efficient agreements that fulfil supply requirements, by using a
systematic sourcing methodology and a continuous total cost of ownership focus. Be responsible for negotiations, supplier selection, development and maintenance of vendor agreements.
• Manage supplier relationships to drive supplier performance,
contract effectiveness, collaboration and integration and deliver improved result. Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key vendors within the commodity with the objective of reducing costs and eliminating inefficiencies
• Build and maintain relationships with internal functions within
purchasing, such as Advanced / OEM Purchasing and Supplier Quality Assurance and Development. Ensure commodity strategy is communicated to relevant parties across purchasing functions. Ensure commodity strategy and supplier capacity is aligned to new development plans
• Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and other functions to ensure continuous improvement and that service level commitments are met.
• Drive demand management to optimize lifecycle cost
• Conduct PPV activities, budgeting and annual price negotiations as well as LCC initiatives

Preferred qualifications:
Education:
• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in business administration, engineering or other relevant discipline
• Preferred: Master's Degree and recognized qualification in

Purchasing
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in commodity management positions
• Experience of the Plastics commodity is required
• Leadership and change management experience in of advantage

Languages:
• Fluency in Swedish and English is required (written and oral)
• Fluency in additional languages is an advantage

Skills and Capabilities:
• Ability to define a vision and strategy for purchasing and the
assigned commodities
• Deep insights in the purchasing environment for the commodities
managed; sufficient to analyze business procurement issues, recommend solutions and strategies and implement changes
• Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application in for example fact based negotiations and cross functional team collaboration
• Capabilities in managing strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development and integration
• Knowledge and experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) including presentation and database applications.- Written and verbal communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening,
negotiation, etc).
• Understanding the importance of customer service and internal
stakeholder management
