We are now looking for a Commodity Manager in Electro-Mechanics to join our Sourcing team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Commodity Manager you will have the overall sourcing responsibility for different component types within electro-mechanics commodity used in Axis's products. You will continuously work to decrease purchase prices and improve other purchasing terms and conditions on electro-mechanics components, by conducting fact based negotiations with suppliers.
Together with other stakeholders within commodity team you will develop and execute commodity strategy within the area of responsibility. You will be involved early in product development to influence component choices, as well as taking care of commercial discussions during development phase.
A part of your responsibilities will also be to develop supplier's performance in order to support Axis vision. You will keep track of market trends within industry and act to minimize supply disturbances, as well as keeping track of raw material cost level changes to support negotiation strategy within the category.
Working in this position will give you great opportunity to make a difference to our business. You will hold a key position within Operations in making sure that we procure material at the right price and you will also play an important role in Axis product development process.
Approximately 30 days of travelling is included per year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a person with university or similar post-secondary education within Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering and at least 3 years of experience from international purchasing/sourcing with strategic responsibility.
You have knowledge of electro-mechanic industry and its cost drivers and it is seen as a merit if you have well established contact network with electro-mechanics suppliers. You have experience from different business cultures, especially Asian and excellent skills in English, both orally and in writing. We also believe that you have proven negotiation skills and general knowledge of Category Management. Any experience from working in ERP systems is a merit.
As a person you are well-structured, result oriented and have a willingness to share knowledge and information with the people you work with. You collaborate well and have an open attitude in interaction with colleagues and external stakeholders.

You will be a part of the Sourcing team. Our team is responsible for creating the best possible prerequisites for a reliable and efficient supply chain. We make sure to have the most suitable suppliers and utilize them in order to achieve maximum contribution both commercially and technically.
